Job summary

H&H is seeking Construction Inspectors (NICET II–IV) for bridge projects across New Jersey. You will read plans, perform field measurements, and prepare daily inspection reports documenting work and resources.

Strong communication and math skills are essential, with OSHA safety training and relevant certifications preferred. Applicants should have at least five years of bridge/highway experience and familiarity with NJDOT/NJTA practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of bridge/highway experience.
• Working knowledge of bridge and highway construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications.
• Certifications such as NICET, ACI, SAT and Traffic Control are preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA safety training certification.
• Good writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, specs and requirements.
• Apply mathematical formulas to field measure quantities and payment calculations.
• Prepare clear Daily Inspection Reports documenting work, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Operate field inspection equipment and document quantities.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and any special requirements
• Working knowledge of mathematics with the ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to field measure quantities and calculate quantities of completed work to recommend payment to the contractor for items of work
• Ability to prepare clear and concise Daily Inspection Reports to document the work performed, the manpower, material, and equipment used; field measure and calculate quantities of work completed and other pertinent information
• Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment
• Good oral and written communication skills
