Working alongside experienced professionals, you will build practical inspection skills while contributing to water and wastewater projects that support reliable service, environmental stewardship, and community well-being.

What You’ll Do

• Observe and monitor water and wastewater construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards, including watermain and pipeline installation
• Record field observations, measurements, and computations to verify work performed
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate project records
• Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• No prior experience required; prior construction or observation experience a plus
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications; knowledge of construction techniques
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license required; extensive travel may be required

Salary Range

$22.00 - $28.00

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
