Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Water Team in Wilmington, DE. You will observe water and wastewater construction activities, record field measurements, and prepare detailed reports in support of reliable water infrastructure.

No prior experience is required; the role offers on-site field work with travel and growth opportunities in construction inspection and water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; prior construction or observation experience a plus.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications; knowledge of construction techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license; extensive travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor water and wastewater construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards, including watermain and pipeline installation.
• Record field observations, measurements, and computations to verify work performed.
• Prepare clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate project records.

Salary Range:

$22.00 - $28.00

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
