Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years of related construction inspection experience preferred.
• NICET II certification and/or bachelor's degree in civil engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of federally aided transportation projects as a construction inspector preferred.
• Experience with NYSDOT and/or municipal clients preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others.
• Strong mathematics skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Appia software and NYSDOT's MURK is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for written and verbal communications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate documentation of construction inspection.
• Ensure work complies with NYSDOT specifications.
• Apply project plans, company policies, standards, specifications to the work and make decisions.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate with individuals at all levels of the project.
• Coordinate activities on the project site and resolve problems related to the work.

In this role, you will be part of a collaborative, field-focused group supporting transportation, bridge, utility, and municipal construction projects across the region. Responsibilities

Compensation: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
