Primary Role

Responsible for on-site inspection of water resource construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct on-site inspections to ensure conformance with contract documents (50%).
  2. Oversee compliance with permits and approvals.
  3. Coordinate with permitting agencies for inspections and certifications (5%).
  4. Serve as the primary on-site contact for contractors.
  5. Act as liaison between contractors and the company (15%).
  6. Coordinate engineering questions and resolve issues (15%).
  7. Prepare project documentation according to standards.
  8. Maintain records and assist with 'as-built' drawings (10%).
  9. Review and approve progress payments (5%).
Knowledge and Skills
  • Engineering specifications and surveying principles.
  • Construction methods and safety regulations.
  • Scheduling principles and project coordination.
  • Ability to read engineering plans.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
Experience and Education
  • High School Diploma.
  • Four years of experience on major construction projects.
Certifications/Licenses

NICET certification preferred.

Work Environment

Field/construction site environment.

Travel required.
