Responsibilities include monitoring and testing the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge; testing of concrete,asphaltand other materials. You will alsoobserveand document construction activities toassurecompliance with technical specifications, prepare daily fieldreportsand test summaries documenting the work being performed.Relocationassistanceis not available for this position.
Technicians require the ability and willingness to workalmost entirelyoutdoors, perform extensivefieldworkand travel significant distances to project sites. Overtime may berequired, depending on the project.GTA will reimburse you for mileage and tolls and pay you “time and a half” for overtime!GTA will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment, which includes High Visibility Vest, Hard Hat, Gloves, and Safety Glasses.
