The Lexis Group is currently seeking qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals to assist in overseeing and inspecting construction of roadway and site improvement projects primarily involving construction of stormwater, water and sewer facilities in the southeast Pennsylvania region. The Construction Inspector will act as the client’s representative working closely with our clients (Philadelphia Water Dept., City of Philadelphia, PennDOT, SEPTA, etc.), under the direction of the client’s Construction Manager to: verify that proper contract adherence and inspection requirements are met; attend/conduct project control meetings; document work progress; and monitor construction quality and safety.
Work schedule varies according to project assignments, contract restrictions, and/or contractors’ schedule, may include night work, weekends and holidays.
3-5+ years of heavy/highway construction experience desired
High school diploma or GED required, Additional course work or training in road/bridge construction, civil engineering, project management, materials or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training demonstrating the ability to perform job duties desired
