Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector to assist our Construction Engineering & Inspection group on a project in Staten Island, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control construction observations for highway roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
• Read and interpret contract documents and construction plans.
• Monitor and track construction sequencing, costs, scheduling, and performance for field construction observation.
• Maintain proper documentation, quality assurance records, and construction project records.
• Ensure consistency and quality in contract records across the project program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in construction inspection, management, or quality assurance.
• Or, High School diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid Driver's license.
• NICET Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for communication and documentation.

Compensation: $30-$38.50/hr DOQ
