Role Description

The Construction Inspector role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashville, TN. The person in this role will perform daily site inspections on transportation and infrastructure projects, monitoring contractor activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards. Responsibilities include documenting field conditions, preparing inspection reports, verifying materials and workmanship, and supporting quality control for asphalt, concrete, and other construction elements. The Construction Inspector will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues, track progress, and ensure project timelines and quality requirements are met. This role also involves maintaining accurate records, attending project meetings, and communicating field observations in a clear, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform thorough Site Inspections and Inspection activities on active construction projects.
• Experience applying Quality Control practices to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and standards.
• Knowledge of Asphalt materials, placement, and testing procedures used in roadway and infrastructure construction.
