Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our New Jersey office. The role focuses on field inspections of municipal and public sector infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and codes.

Ideal candidates have NICET II Highway Construction certification, 2-5 years of site inspection experience, and strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• NICET Level II Certification in Highway Construction is required.
• 2-5 years of construction inspection experience on municipal or public sector projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and inspection procedures.
• Excellent written documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on public infrastructure and construction projects to verify compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
• Monitor contractor activities and document daily construction progress.
• Prepare detailed daily reports, field notes, and inspection documentation.
• Identify construction deficiencies and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, municipalities, and project teams to resolve field issues.
• Review materials, workmanship, and construction methods to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct field visits throughout the local service area.
