Job summary

Cochran is seeking a Construction Technician to support our civil engineering, construction testing, and surveying teams across Missouri locations. The role involves field testing of concrete, aggregates, soils and asphalt, with emphasis on plan interpretation and teamwork.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in construction and prefer ACI Field Testing certification. Strong communication and independent work capabilities are required for success on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of construction experience or general knowledge of standard practices.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing-Grad I preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret plans/read blueprints and construction documents.
• Familiarity with concrete/aggregate/soil/asphalt testing.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team; strong communication.

Cochran's is seeking a Construction Technician at any one of our 7 locations (Union, St. Louis, Wentzville, Farmington, KC, Ozark, and Osage Beach) to join our growing team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years prior experience or general knowledge of standard construction practices
• ACI Concrete Field Testing-Grad I, preferred
• Proficiency reading and interpreting plans
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
• Familiarity with general construction practices
• Experience with concrete/aggregate/soil/asphalt testing
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
