Cochran, a Missouri-based civil engineering and surveying firm, is seeking a CAD Technician- Civil to join our team at one of our 7 Missouri locations (Union, St. Louis, Wentzville, Farmington, KC, Ozark, Osage Beach).

The role focuses on civil CAD drafting using Civil 3D, drafting plans and profiles, and supporting Engineers and Surveyors across public and private projects. Experience with Civil 3D and Office is preferred; 2+ years in civil or land surveying is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years civil or land surveying experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
• Produce drawings using CAD and Civil 3D software.

Responsibilities

• Draft plans and drawings for civil projects.
• Draw maps and profiles from surveys and cross-sections.
• Review data to ensure conformance to design concepts.
• Provide drafting support to Engineers and Surveyors.
• Prepare documentation packages for reproduction and distribution.

Cochran's is seeking a CAD Technician- Civil at any one of our 7 locations (Union, St. Louis, Wentzville, Farmington, KC, Ozark, and Osage Beach) to join our growing team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Must have an understanding of Civil CAD-based drafting procedures.
• Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD), Civil 3D software
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction various projects
• Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, and structures
• Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical prospecting reports
• Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, photography, or other duplicating methods
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Civil Engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
• Provide Engineers and Surveyors with drafting support
• 2+ years civil or land surveying experience, preferred
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
