Construction Inspector

Our talented staff of more than 450 professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering, and construction solutions.

Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Construction Inspector to assist with our projects in Maumee, OH!

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with project partners such as clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Follow applicable QA/QC procedures.
• Measure, calculate, and determine all quantities of assigned work and/or installed materials.
• Report any deficiencies in the contractor's work to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Prepare Daily Inspector’s Reports using various software such as Word, AASHTOWare Project (AWP), and Appia.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Minimum two years of experience in Transportation Construction Inspection and Engineering (preferred but not expected for entry level).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills including use of e-mail, Excel, and Word.

Certifications and Training

• ODOT Prequalification in ODOT Inspector/Engineer Categories (preferred).
• NICET Highway Technician I, II, III, or IV (preferred).
• ACI Field Technician Level 1 (preferred).
• Ohio Aggregate Level 1 (preferred).
• OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour (preferred).
• Valid Driver License.
