Amentum is seeking a Construction Inspector out of the Las Vegas, NV area to provide inspection services for construction projects. Responsibilities include daily log reporting, inspection of work according to approved drawings and specifications, identification of non-conforming work or materials, and ensuring compliance with safety plans and environmental regulations. The role works under general supervision and reports to project personnel.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Develop official project punch lists from scheduled walk downs under guidance of higher-level personnel.
2. Witness specified testing and mandatory inspections such as fire alarm systems, piping pressure testing, and insulation resistance.
3. Serve as a point of contact for environmental support organizations responsible for sampling, monitoring, testing, and disposal of hazardous wastes.
4. Assist with departmental operations to maintain workflow or respond to emergencies.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of construction.
• Willingness to obtain certifications such as ICC IBC, NFPA 70, and others.
• Experience in construction fields like civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, or fire alarm systems.
• Preferred experience on government projects.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Mostly office work with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds, sitting, and computer use. Some environments may involve noise, hazardous materials, and physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, and handling materials. Must maintain mental alertness and organizational skills.
