Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or on an aerial line crew.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards and familiar with the NEC.
• Strong computer skills: Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication, time management and organization.
• Experience in contractor management and travel with a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, audits and transfers of underground, buried and aerial plant facilities.

• Sometimes perform manual inspections via printed spreadsheets; use mapping/GPS as needed.

The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology. **Qualifications:** * Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew * Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections. * Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards * Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code. * Computer experience: * Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook * Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing. * Good communication skills. * Personal time management and organization skills. * Construction contractor management skills. * A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on short notice. *Shape the future.
