Job summary

Volkert Inc. in Colorado Front Range is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to support Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs projects.

You will inspect heavy highway construction activities, report daily on-site, and coordinate with the Project Engineer and Volkert Project Manager. Requirements include at least five years of heavy highway construction experience, ability to read plans, proficiency with Word and Excel, and holding or pursuing required CDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of heavy highway construction experience.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications, and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and internet/email usage.
• Ability to obtain (or hold) certifications including Traffic Control Supervisor, CDOT Highway Plan Reading, CDOT Construction Surveying, CDOT Basic Highway Math, ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspection, and Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor Training
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time, flexible work hours, and willingness to temporarily relocate to project locations if necessary
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
