$62,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

1. Perform construction inspections as assigned.
2. Measure, calculate, and record construction quantities for payment.
3. Maintain project records and documentation.
4. Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and standards.
5. Collect and analyze data for errors.
6. Monitor projects for compliance with traffic, survey, or construction activities.
7. Oversee quality assurance and project completion within timelines.
8. Record job progress and ensure timely contractor work.
9. Inspect and assess material quality used in projects.
10. Calculate quantities of materials, supplies, and equipment needed.
11. Perform additional duties as required by the Resident Engineer or Department Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid State Driver's License
• B.S. in Engineering or related field (preferred)
• IDOT Documentation Certification (preferred)
• 0-3 years’ experience in construction engineering/inspection
• CADD experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software
• Strong communication skills and ability to write technical reports
• Ability to present recommendations effectively
