Our services include construction management, observation/inspection, laboratory testing, and forensic engineering, helping to develop and maintain America's infrastructure. We are a recognized industry leader with over 25 accredited laboratories.
Kleinfelder is currently seeking two candidates for the position of Construction Inspector: one temporary full-time and one regular full-time. These positions can be based in Augusta, ME, Portland, ME, or Manchester, NH.
This is a temporary full-time position.
The ideal candidate will perform construction inspection tasks to ensure compliance with codes, ordinances, zoning regulations, and contract plans and specifications.
Inspections may focus on general or specific areas such as transportation infrastructure, roads, bridges, and ancillary facilities. Under limited supervision, the candidate will work within specific guidelines on moderately complex assignments.
High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree or technical training in transportation, building inspection, construction technology, drafting, or mathematics is preferred. Certifications such as ACI concrete certified, NETTCP paving certified, PCI certified, and NACE level are also preferred.
1 to 5 years of experience in construction inspection, design, or related fields is required.
