- Perform on-site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Act as the engineer’s field representative, monitoring work progress, quality, and adherence to schedules.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and owners to coordinate work and report issues.
- Maintain detailed daily inspection logs and submit regular reports to the engineer and/or owner.
- Document field activities with photographs and as-built markups on project drawings.
- Review contractor submittals including shop drawings and product data for compliance with contract documents.
- Inspect and document progress on wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer lines, and water storage tanks.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering inspection or construction supervision, with a focus on water and sewer utilities and treatment facilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and technical drawings.
- Erosion & Sediment (E&S) Control Level 1A Certification (must possess or obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across GA and SC.
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
- Prior experience inspecting wastewater treatment plants, water tanks, and related infrastructure.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction and environmental regulations.
