Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Innovation Manager to lead vision, strategy, and thinking methodologies used to innovate new products and services within the construction context.

You will drive R&D, rapid prototyping, industrialization, and collaboration with operating groups and outside entities to advance improvements and define business plans related to innovation, establishing Mortenson as an industry leader.

Qualifications

• Strategic planning and forecasting knowledge.
• Proficient with office software and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of data analytics and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related AEC degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of related AEC/construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Company R&D efforts including rapid prototyping and product development.
• Partner with operating groups to develop capabilities and track KPIs.
• Collaborate with external entities to advance construction innovations.
• Support business planning related to innovation initiatives.
• Build a culture of innovation within Mortenson and differentiate through value creation.
• Establish and manage the innovation center as Mortenson’s hub for transformational innovation.
• Facilitate group-level innovation challenges to crowdsource ideas.
• Design solutions for customer innovation and experiences across initiatives.
