Job summary

Dodge Construction Network seeks a Construction Information Specialist for the Eastern region. Job description

Dodge Construction Network (Dodge) is seeking a Construction Information Specialist for our Eastern region that will be responsible for leading the acquisition, evaluation, and validation of high-value commercial construction project intelligence through strategic engagement with industry stakeholders, including contractors, construction managers, owners, architects, and public agencies. This role applies advanced industry expertise, critical thinking, and independent judgment to identify, access, and interpret complex or hard-to-obtain project information, translating insights into actionable data that enhances the organization’s products. Success in this role requires the ability to independently cultivate high-value sources, influence participation, and assess the accuracy, relevance, and completeness of information, ensuring the delivery of differentiated intelligence not available through public channels alone.

This full-time position reports to the Manager, Construction Information.

Preferred Location

This is a remote, home-office based role and candidates must be located in one of the following states: NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, KY, ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, or CT.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel is up to 10% for this role.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and execute strategic outreach initiatives across phone, email, and in-person channels to engage contractors, subcontractors, owners, architects, and public agencies, influencing participation and securing high-value, non-public project intelligence
  • Articulate the strategic value of Dodge’s data network and project information sharing to potential and existing sources, strengthening engagement and long-term participation
  • Demonstrate Dodge tools and data capabilities, including Dodge One, to incentivize sources by showcasing the value of the network and Dodge’s broader capabilities
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key and hard-to-reach industry participants, exercising judgment in engagement strategies, including direct interaction through site visits, industry events, and association meetings to strengthen intelligence pipelines
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new project sources within assigned territory of high-value and hard-to-reach contacts to expand and sustain a robust and differentiated project pipeline
  • Apply advanced knowledge of the commercial construction industry to analyze and interpret construction documents, client communications, and project information, determining relevance, accuracy, and business value, and translating insights into Dodge systems
  • Leverage internal tools and systems to manage and maintain project data, making informed decisions regarding data classification, prioritization, and updates to ensure alignment with business standards and customer needs
  • Investigate and resolve complex or ambiguous data discrepancies, synthesizing information from multiple sources, including direct industry engagement, to validate accuracy and determine appropriate reporting. Maintain clear documentation of verification steps.
  • Identify systemic data quality trends and root causes, recommending and applying solutions and communicating insights to stakeholders to improve data integrity and operational effectiveness
  • Identify territory-level trends, including sourcing opportunities and conversion rates, to inform and present strategic insights
  • Share insights on source behavior, project trends, and workflow challenges to support continuous process improvement
  • Exercise ownership for performance outcomes, independently balancing productivity, quality, and strategic priorities within a metrics-driven environment
  • Partner with Account Management and Customer Success teams to directly address high-impact client inquiries
  • Contribute to team capability and effectiveness by developing, refining, and sharing best practices for outreach strategies, source development, and intelligence collection methods, including approaches for engaging high-value and in-person sources

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Communications, Construction Management, or a related field; OR equivalent professional experience demonstrating advanced proficiency in outreach, data collection, and commercial construction industry knowledge.

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in outreach, research, customer engagement, or data operations roles, with demonstrated ability to independently manage priorities, assess information, and drive outcomes
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry, with deep knowledge of the construction ecosystem (contractors, owners, architects, subcontractors, project lifecycle, bid and award processes) and the ability to evaluate complex project information within a business context
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify patterns and trends, and proactively diagnose issues and implement solutions
  • Ability to analyze territory and source funnel data and conversion rates to evaluate outreach performance and present findings to leadership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, communicate complex findings, and adapt engagement strategies based on audience and objectives
  • Skilled in tailoring value-proposition messaging by source type and handling objections to data sharing using consultative, value-selling techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to independently conduct in-person engagement, including site visits, industry events, and association meetings, to develop high-value sources and gather critical intelligence
  • Ability to demonstrate Dodge tools and data capabilities (e.g., Dodge One) to sources, tailoring the walkthrough by stakeholder type (owner, GC, architect) to build trust and encourage ongoing collaboration and data sharing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), along with the ability to learn and apply Dodge tools and systems to support data quality and business needs

Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with construction project data, plan rooms, or bid management platforms, with the ability to interpret and apply information to support data completeness and accuracy
  • Familiarity with the assigned territory’s active markets, including relationships across major general contractors, architecture firms, owners, and public agencies
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction project phases, bid and award processes, and multi-stakeholder project structures, with the ability to translate complex project dynamics into structured, usable data
  • Experience working within a performance-driven environment, with accountability for quality and productivity outcomes and the ability to prioritize effectively across competing demands

Salary Disclosure

Dodge Construction Network’s compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, uncapped variable incentive plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
