Job summary

Comfort-Air Engineering, Inc. seeks a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our on-site construction team. You will install, assemble, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on commercial and residential projects, reading blueprints and following codes.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HVAC installation experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a safety-first mindset. You will collaborate with project managers and other trades, work in varying conditions, and may

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred).
• 2+ years of HVAC installation experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and airflow principles.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, units, and controls according to project specifications and codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Measure, cut, and assemble duct systems and components.
• Test HVAC systems for proper operation and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform system start-ups and ensure proper calibration.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on-site.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
• Document work performed and report progress to supervisors.
