Job summary
Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Mechanic to join our construction team. The role involves installing commercial HVAC equipment, refrigerant piping systems, and basic controls, and assisting with equipment startup on various commercial projects.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while upholding our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
- Ability to read blueprints, control schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Experience installing basic HVAC controls.
- Working knowledge of startup procedures and troubleshooting.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial HVAC equipment including split systems and DX units.
- Install refrigerant piping, supports, insulation, and accessories.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping schematics, and control drawings.
- Install basic HVAC controls such as thermostats and CO2 sensors.
- Perform equipment startup and functional testing for proper operation.
- Troubleshoot common HVAC equipment and installation issues.
- Coordinate work with project managers, foremen, electricians, and other trades.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
