Job summary

Nox Group in Reno, NV is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Craft team, drive engagement, and uphold our values across a growing workforce. You will coordinate HR processes, respond to inquiries, and help with onboarding, while assisting leaders with evaluations and maintaining confidentiality.

The role emphasizes field and office collaboration, policy adherence, and supporting People Experience initiatives in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred.
• Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• At least 2 years of HR experience, preferably in construction.
• Comfortable with public speaking in small to medium sized groups.

Responsibilities

• Identify when employee relations issues may require HR intervention; gather initial information and escalate appropriately.
• Provide guidance to field leadership on coaching documentation and ensure proper submission of separation requests.
• Support and train field leadership on performance evaluations; track completion and ensure consistency.
• Track and update employee drug screen submissions with third-party labs; communicate results to Safety and field leadership.
• Support onboarding by coordinating the first 90 days, providing field visibility, and sharing engagement feedback with HR leadership.
• Monitor team morale and trends; help HR stay ahead of culture or engagement issues.
• Reinforce company values and policies through daily interactions with field teams and site leadership.
• Assist with basic training delivery, communications, and tracking; flag learning gaps.
• Support performance management timelines and documentation requirements.
• Identify Leave of Absence needs and escalate to HR leadership for full-cycle management.
• Stay informed of HR policies and serve as a bridge between site employees and People Experience.
• Support People Experience initiatives in engagement activities.
• Other duties as assigned
