Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Helper in Houston, TX to assist with building, fabricating, installing and dismantling form work for fixtures of metal and wood. You will learn to identify hazards and use tools safely, while supporting the specialty crew and maintaining productivity.

The role requires physical stamina, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team on a busy site.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience working in construction as a helper.
• Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program.

Responsabilités

• Assist specialty crew with preparing the layout of the project.
• Selects, loads, and hauls job material to different areas in work site
• Identify all tools required for tasks
• Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site
• Provide support as needed for specialty crew
• Assist in the measurement, marking, and cutting
• Assist in positioning, joining, aligning, and sealing structural components
• Manages own time effectively, ensuring maximum amount of productivity
• Abide to all safety policies
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
