Job summary

SAM is seeking a Survey Geomatics Technician in Johnson City, TN to support civil works projects with geomatics data and 3D modeling. You will process LiDAR/remote sensing data into accurate CAD drawings that meet DOT standards, and report to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Strong computer and technical skills; MicroStation or Bentley Roadway and Trimble Business Center required; AutoCAD/Revit a plus.
• Proficiency in technical math; geometry and trigonometry are a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR standards, clean background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Establish vertical & layout control for construction projects.
• Develop and check drainage and paving layouts.
• Create and review 3D models of construction plans and verify locations.
• Support field survey activities with data collection and QA/QC.
