Job summary

Elite Contracting Group in Virginia is seeking skilled construction candidates for a full-time role focused on safety, quality workmanship, and reliable service. You will perform manual labor using hand and power tools, operate equipment, and participate in preventative maintenance while following safety standards across outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in civil construction or electrical field.
• Experience operating hand and power tools and equipment such as shovels, drills, and measuring tapes.
• Skilled in operating and maintaining light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and equipment including excavators and skid-steers.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience installing conduit is preferred.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be motivated, a team player, and willing to learn.
• Must be able to lift 50–70 pounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards with a focus on quality customer service
• Perform manual labor and utilize hand and power tools such as trimmers, pole saws, jackhammer, concrete saw, drills, shovels, etc.
• Perform skilled equipment operations
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Operate light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and equipment
• Perform work in various conditions and environments, including exposure to the outdoors and insects
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry 50 – 70 pounds
• Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 5:00PM; additional work, including on-call and night workmay be required
• Must maintain a satisfactory background record

Anticipated Hiring Range: $18-26 per hour with guaranteed hours, including overtime.
