Top Stack is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a 3-6 month contract in Woodstock, IL. The role supports financial operations across multiple projects, focusing on accurate reporting, project accounting, and financial analysis within a construction environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of construction accounting experience, expertise in WIP and percentage-of-completion methods, and strong Excel/ERP skills to partner with project management and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of WIP accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, month-end close, and variance analysis.
• Experience partnering with project management and operations teams.

Responsabilités

• Manage monthly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare and review WIP schedules and related project reporting.
• Analyze project performance, costs, and profitability vs estimates/forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to operations and leadership.
• Review project estimates, budgets, and cost projections for accuracy.
• Partner with project managers and operations to monitor financial performance.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and best practices.
• Support process improvements and controls related to project accounting and reporting.
