Job summary

Estes Construction is seeking an Accounting Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Davenport, IA. You will assist the finance team and project managers while gaining exposure to field operations and cross-functional collaboration.

The internship emphasizes learning, safety, documentation, and mentorship within a collaborative culture. This role requires enrollment in an Accounting/Finance program, strong communication, and the ability to work on-site with a valid US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Accounting, or Finance, or related program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully.
• Ability to work independently while still contributing and collaborating in a team.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on-site.
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Commitment from May – August (Summer 2027).

Responsibilities

• Assist finance team, project managers, pre-construction managers, superintendents, project coordinators while learning how real-world decisions share the outcomes.
• Participate in site visits and safety checks under supervision.
• Assist with documentation tracking and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional project with interns and leaders across departments.
• Participate in company initiatives, committees, and continuing education.
