Qualifications

• 5010 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership roles.
• Construction accounting experience across multiple industries and project types.
• Experience preparing management-ready financial analysis, dashboards, forecasts and reporting packages.
• Experience supervising accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing, cash management, GL and month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting and construction accounting principles.
• Ability to translate financial and operational data into practical analysis and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly financial close process with P&L, balance sheets, WIP schedules and budgeting reports.
• Provide management with clear analysis of project profitability, cash flow, backlog and labor productivity.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Oversee construction accounting processes including job cost, billing, change orders, retainage and revenue recognition.
• Partner with Presidents, PMs and executives to review project financials and advise on actions.
• Supervise AR, AP, payroll, billing and related accounting operations.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax requests, bank reporting and external reviews.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, dashboards and analytical tools for management insights.
• Lead, coach and develop accounting staff.
