Job summary

Veit is seeking a Financial Analyst I to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost analysis in a construction-focused environment. You will assist with cost-to-complete reviews, backlog revenue tracking, and WIP reporting under Finance leadership.

The role emphasizes data validation, process improvements, and preparing monthly reporting packages for leaders. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with 0–2 years of experience, strong Excel skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and basic financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial data with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong MS Office skills and clear communication across levels of management.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly cost-to-complete review meetings with Project Managers and Finance team members.
• Assist with tracking backlog revenue and expected profit margins.
• Support profit fade analysis by collecting data and preparing summaries.
• Prepare job cost and GL adjusting entries.
• Assist with tracking inventory valuations and recording usage for jobs.
• Develop dashboards and monthly reporting packages for Project Managers and Executives.
• Support WIP reporting, project forecasting, and data validation.
