Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst I to deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and project support. You will work under Finance leadership to analyze costs, forecasts, and margins while supporting dashboards and recurring reporting for project managers and executives.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and strong Excel, data analysis, and communication skills. Base compensation ranges with a clear salary band; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data organization, pivot tables, lookups, and basic financial reporting or analysis.
• Ability to collect, organize, validate, and analyze financial data with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate information to all levels of management, employees, vendors, and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly cost-to-complete review meetings with Project Managers and Finance team members.
• Assist with tracking backlog revenue and expected profit margins by compiling data and preparing reports.
• Support profit fade analysis by collecting data, researching variances, and preparing summaries.
• Prepare job cost and general ledger adjusting entries for review and approval.
• Assist with tracking inventory valuations and recording inventory usage for jobs.
• Support process improvement efforts by documenting current processes and assisting with technology enhancements.
• Develop and generate dashboards and monthly reporting packages for Project Managers and executives.
• Support WIP reporting, project reporting, forecasting and financial data validation.
