Qualifications

ASAP is hiring a Construction Finance Analyst to support a major capital construction program in Chandler, Arizona. Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of the Chandler, AZ area. This is a hybrid position requiring a combination of onsite and remote work.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction finance, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers and project data in a fast-paced construction environment and collaborating with construction, engineering, contractor, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for capital construction projects.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and total project funding and commitment forecasts.
• Manage and control capital project budgets and spending at the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) level.
• Create WBS codes and ensure alignment with project scope.
• Validate and approve purchase requisitions and change orders.
• Review project invoices and support proper invoice coding and processing.
• Support and report on contractor buyout of subcontract bid packages, where applicable.
• Schedule and lead regular cost meetings with contractors and engineering teams to review budgets, spending, and change-order status.
• Manage, validate, and track project change orders.
• Perform monthly spend-to-forecast variance analysis.
• Perform risk and opportunity analysis.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with established reporting standards and corporate finance and accounting policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Approximately 5–12 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience working on or directly supporting construction projects.
• Strong cost management, finance, and/or project planning skills.
• Experience developing and managing budgets, cash flows, and forecasts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and comfort working with financial and project data.
• Strong decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• SAP experience.
• Power BI experience.
• Experience with cost management applications and Microsoft Project.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.
• Experience within semiconductor, commercial construction, industrial, or refinery environments.
