Job summary

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is seeking a construction supervisor to lead craft crews on PennDOT projects in Pennsylvania.

This hourly, non-exempt role operates under direct and indirect supervision, coordinating with the Project Superintendent to meet plans, specifications, safety requirements, and production pace. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, basic math skills, PennDOT Flagger Training, CPR/First Aid, and at least three years of construction experience (supervisory

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license for the state of residence.
Must have basic math skills.
Must successfully complete PennDOT Flagger Training Course.
Must be CPR and first aid trained.
Must obtain and maintain all mandatory training.

Responsibilities

Supervise craft employees to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Develop and maintain understanding of plans and specifications with Project Superintendent.
Plan work schedule including manpower, materials, trucking, and equipment requirements.
Monitor performance and productivity; enforce safety and quality standards.
Complete daily quantity reports and employee time reports.
Communicate plans and potential issues to supervision and management.
Promote positive relations with other departments and the traveling public.
Ensure safe working environment and proper use of equipment.
Possibly work overtime, nights, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed.
