Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Construction Specialist for the Golden Triangle Polymers facility located in Orange, TX. This role supports day-to-day field execution of site-managed capital projects through coordination of construction activities, field leadership, and collaboration with contractors and site stakeholders.

The Construction Specialist is a highly visible field presence who works closely with contractors, Operations, Safety, Quality, Engineering, and Project Management to

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in construction project execution or equivalent.
• 5+ years in project controls (e.g., SAP, Tracks).
• 5+ years of construction field support with increasing responsibility.
• Experience reading construction drawings (mechanical flow diagrams, piping isometrics, plot plans).
• Experience with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure safe execution of work and site safety requirements.
• Support collaborative safety culture with contractors.
• Assist during IFA reviews, walkdowns, constructability reviews, and kick-off meetings.
• Understand and communicate critical path and execution to teams.
• Ensure planning/scheduling progress aligns with plan and adjust as needed.
• Guide small to medium teams to deliver scope within budget and timeline.
• Identify risks early and escalate as needed.
• Attend stakeholder sessions to gather feedback and refine requirements.
• Maintain issue and action logs for timely resolutions.
• Understand plant equipment operation at a basic level.
• Support construction practices and project execution across craft disciplines.
• Facilitate productivity audits and field walks with vendors.
