Job summary

Qualifications

• Prefer 3–5 years of residential and commercial construction observation experience.
• Strong technical expertise related to construction activities.
• Experience with City of Dallas standards and specifications.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction plans.
• Familiarity with grading, utility, and street construction.
• Proficiency in creating weekly reports using MS Office.
• Experience in reviewing pay applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site observations of construction activities related to site infrastructure installation for residential and commercial developments.
• Evaluate erosion control measures and ensure compliance with plans.
• Observe site grading activities and utility construction (water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer).
• Observe paving construction and review testing reports.
• Ensure contractors follow City standards and construction plans.
• Prepare weekly construction summary reports and review monthly pay applications.
• Occasional travel within Louisiana.
