AtkinsRéalis in Oklahoma City is seeking a Construction Field Engineering Intern to support site activities and engineering tasks. You will review drawings under supervision, perform defined assignments, and assist in preparing reports and progress updates.

The role involves data collection, field observations, and basic design feasibility studies, with mentorship from seasoned professionals. A related degree program with 30 hours completed is required.

Qualifications

• No experience required if enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
• Must have completed 30 hours toward a related degree before start.
• Basic computer skills to enter data into spreadsheets/databases.
• Math skills to perform simple calculations and a willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in reviewing engineering drawings under supervision and prepares specifications.
• Participates in engineering investigations and planning by completing defined tasks.
• Prepares sections of reports under experienced professional review.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance with specifications; assists in recordkeeping and progress reports.
• Performs data acquisition and analysis, explores alternate design feasibility.
• Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information.
• Performs engineering calculations.
• Conducts field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Assists supervisor with additional duties as needed.
