Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a Field Intern/Laborer to gain hands-on experience on active construction sites. You will perform on-site tasks, support project teams, and learn construction operations under seasoned professionals.

You will develop practical skills in field labor, documentation, and safety practices, with potential for future employment and academic credit depending on your institution's policies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program or trade school, or high school diploma with construction experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Safety-conscious with ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general construction tasks, including loading/unloading materials and using hand/power tools.
• Spend time on sites observing and participating in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with project teams to assist planning, execution, and management.
• Assist in project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Work with project managers and site staff to help meet goals.
