Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Field Intern to gain real-world experience across construction projects. You will work with seasoned professionals on planning, execution, and documentation, including reports, budgets, and schedules.

This internship offers hands-on field exposure, learning construction methods, equipment, and safety procedures, with collaboration from project managers, engineers, and field staff. May–August, with potential for future employment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program or technical school.
• Strong academics and a passion for the construction industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced construction environment.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
• Basic understanding of construction principles and practices is a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be legally eligible to work in United States.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to assist in planning, execution, and management of construction projects.
• Spend time on construction sites to observe and participate in activities.
• Assist in project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Acquire a deeper understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure project goals are met.
• Participate in troubleshooting and finding solutions to construction-related challenges.
