Job summary

Sheladia Associates, Inc. in the DMV area is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Field Inspector. You will conduct on-site inspections, verify compliance with building codes, and review materials and blueprints to ensure quality and safety across projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of inspection experience, NBIS certification, and proficiency with inspection software. Travel to multiple sites within the DMV area is expected, with a strong emphasis on reporting and collaboration.

Qualifications

• NBIS certification is required.
• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Management with 1 year sidewalk/pavement experience.
• 3-5 years of construction inspection experience and knowledge of codes.
• Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings and interpret specs.
• Proficiency with inspection software and mobile devices.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to DMV sites.
• NICET, MARTCP and OSHA 30-hour preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections at various stages of construction.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Examine materials, methods, and workmanship for quality and safety.
