Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily field management, contract administration, cost tracking, and procurement support on Raleigh-area projects.

Responsibilities include preparing takeoffs, reviewing submittals, coordinating with owners and engineers, and ensuring adherence to drawings and codes. Travel to southeastern US sites may be required; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Willingness to travel and work at southeastern US job sites for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, estimates, and change orders to support construction projects.
• Maintain submittal logs; ensure thorough review for conformance with documents.
• Interpret designs, prepare takeoffs, and resolve drawing interpretation issues.
• Assist with procurement, including quantity takeoffs and pricing of POs and subcontracts.
• Ensure work complies with codes, drawings, and specifications.
• Create correspondence with owners, subcontractors, and engineers.
• Assist with budget tracking, job cost review, and reporting.
• Support pre-construction activities and coordination meetings.
• Conduct site inspections to verify conformance with contract documents.
