Job summary

Morgan Corp. in Raleigh, NC seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead heavy civil construction from planning through completion.

You will develop project plans, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and drive performance to meet objectives while maintaining clear documentation and communication. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of PM experience in heavy civil or related sectors, strong leadership and teamwork abilities, and proficiency with MS Office and construction management software such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/CE/BA or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience in heavy civil, industrial, infrastructure, site development, utility, concrete, earthwork, or related construction.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout (budget, schedule, subcontractor coordination, change management, field execution).
• Willingness to travel across the southeastern US and flexible weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage small- to mid-sized projects.
• Oversee design, estimating, quality control, construction, and operations of assigned project(s).
• Perform preconstruction activities, including estimate preparation and subcontractor solicitations.
• Attend job meetings (preconstruction, project, staff).
• Conduct client/subcontractor meetings.
• Report project status and performance data to owner and team.
• Manage work schedules and resource alignment.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and contractors to resolve issues.
• Organize day-to-day project team activities.
• Coordinate between project locations to align with objectives and priorities.
• Ensure safety, environment, cost, schedule, and quality goals are met.
• Obtain necessary approvals for planned work.
• Monitor cost forecasts, labor/productivity, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Keep team informed on progress and changes.
• Support/mentor junior staff with personnel needs.
