Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• ABET accreditation and relevant coursework preferred.
• Must obtain E.I or E.I.T within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing engineering drawings and prepare/assemble specifications.
• Conduct investigations and plan work with defined tasks and data analysis.
• Prepare sections of reports under supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Review shop drawings for conformance and assist in progress reports.
• Perform data acquisition, feasibility studies, and regulatory checks.
• Prepare materials for reports, permit applications, and progress documents.
• Perform engineering calculations and field observations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to join our Construction Management Team. This is an

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to join our Construction Management Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Your Role

• Assists in the review of engineering drawings. Under supervisions, carries out specific assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.
• Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
• Prepares assigned sections of reports working under the close review of an experienced professional.
• Participates on projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with easily interpreted specifications; assists in recordkeeping and in generating progress reports; observes on-site construction procedures; and collects samples for quality control testing.
• Performs data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
• Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outline, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.
• Performs engineering calculations.
• Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

About You

• EXPERIENCE: Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's Degree in a branch of Engineering directly related to hiring discipline; no experience required with a Master's degree.
• EDUCATION: : Completion of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
  • Proficient interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Capability to develop technical writings and reports.
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I or E.I.T. required to be obtained within 6 months of hiring on.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $70,000 - $80,000annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
