Job summary

Sanders Brothers Construction Company, Inc. in Charleston, SC, is seeking a motivated Construction Field Associate to start in field operations. The program begins with a 1-2 month shadowing period with Area Managers, exposing you to sitework, safety practices, and jobsite coordination.

After training, you rotate through departments to build technical skills, leadership capabilities, and broad exposure to heavy civil construction. Advancement depends on performance and company needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent military leadership/technical experience required.
• No prior management experience required; field experience preferred.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods and perform heavy physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and support area management during onboarding and rotation through SBC departments.
• Perform hands-on field work including heavy equipment operation and road paving.
• Learn construction methods and safety programs while coordinating crews.
• Communicate with supervisors and project stakeholders with a safety-focused approach.
