Job summary

Pete Fowler Construction is seeking a Construction Site Safety Expert (Testifying Expert) to support attorneys and insurers by providing expert opinions and testimony on complex construction matters. The role involves on-site investigations, analysis of drawings and legal documents, and presenting findings in depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record as a designated Expert Witness, extensive construction experience, and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of construction experience or related education/field experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Experience as designated Expert Witness in construction-related litigation.
• Applicable licenses and certifications supporting expertise.
• Demonstrated expert-level knowledge and ability to go head-to-head with top professionals.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving with actionable findings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical-to-nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to perform on-site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide Expert Witness Testimony in depositions, arbitration, and trial.
• Serve as designated Expert Witness for lawsuits and insurance claims.
• Develop Expert marketing materials including Resume/CV and Testimony List.
• Attend pre-project client calls to discuss details and verify required expertise.
• Conduct building inspections and property condition assessments with thorough documentation.
• Review construction documents and legal documents; perform data research on codes and standards.
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates, and cost analyses.
• Present site observations and analyses to Technical Experts.
• Attend client meetings and mediations; document actions in PFCS system.
• Track billable hours; maintain targets.
