Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Expeditor for distribution construction in Milton, FL. You will verify site packets, permits, locate utilities, review the bill of materials, and coordinate notices to residents prior to work, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

You will support field crews, plan with vendors, maintain project records, and prepare handover packets for clients, while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic electrical concepts in materials and services.
• High energy level with the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment.
• Demonstrated computer skills (i.e.; MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• High School diploma.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Direct experience in distribution line construction and/or services.

Responsibilities

• Work with vendors and suppliers to effectively plan and schedule to support the project.
• Verify required permits and ensure they have been received in accordance with local codes and State laws.
• Analyze bill of materials to ensure they are adequate for the work to be performed; request missing materials and notify of discrepancies prior to handover to field.
• Lead problem resolution for issues.
• Identify issues and elevate as necessary to management.
• Provide input to management regarding action plans to address long term issues.
• Support the field construction crews as required.
• Locate vendors of materials, equipment, supplies, or services, and submit for use as approved suppliers/subcontractors within organization.
• Effective planning, organizing, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
• Complete and maintain accurate project records and files.
• Assemble and maintains all final job packets and readies them for handover to clients.
