Job summary

TechStar Group is seeking a Project Estimator to develop estimates for industrial and commercial construction projects. You will read drawings, create budget-based estimates, and perform cost analyses on proposals and completed work.

The role supports software development for estimating and collaborates with executives, engineers, and managers. The ideal candidate has 1–10 years of experience in construction estimating, with proficiency in CSI Master Format and take-off software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Mgmt.
• Experience with construction cost estimation for industrial/commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to create budgetary estimates from conceptual scopes with limited drawings.
• Experience analyzing contractor bids and historical project data.

Responsibilities

• Develop project estimates for building construction, renovation, or improvements.
• Estimate range from simple improvements to greenfield sites.
• Perform cost analyses on proposed or completed projects.
• Support Planning group with cost estimations.
• Improve unit costs from historical projects and support estimating software development.
• Collaborate with executives, technical experts, and construction managers.
