Job summary

Cerris Builders is seeking an estimator to analyze construction documents and prepare detailed estimates for bid opportunities. You will interact with vendors, subcontractors, and the internal team to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in estimating software and MS Office. On-site work at our Kansas location is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of related estimating experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze cost data and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project approach meetings and proposal kickoff.
• Carries out estimating assignments with quality control for accuracy.
• Reviews proposal specs/drawings to determine scope of work.
• Solicits subcontractor/supplier bids and interfaces with vendors.
• Maintains relationships with trade partners and updates cost data.
• Performs quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for bids.
• Operates estimating software and CRM tools within workflow.
• Identifies process improvements for estimating/preconstruction.
