Job summary

CRH is seeking a qualified Estimator for Michigan Paving and Materials to determine material, equipment, and labor requirements for construction projects. The role develops detailed budgets and proposals in line with legal standards and company policies.

The candidate will review plans, prepare bids, and ensure estimates meet safety and regulatory requirements while coordinating with the construction team to align estimates with execution plans. Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Five+ years of experience in construction management and/or construction estimating preferred.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-bid site visits to evaluate conditions and gather measurements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt paving, milling, and related costs.
• Review plans and bid documents to identify scope and risks.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids in compliance with regulations.
• Build relationships with owners, contractors, and engineers.
