Job summary

Axela Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to provide conceptual and preliminary estimating and hard-dollar bidding on projects, with emphasis on large and complex work using diverse delivery methods.

The role covers quantity take-offs, pricing in CSI formats, and coordinating full estimating services. You will work with operations to prepare estimates for extra work and change orders, leveraging Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Engineering.
• 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Proven skills in spatial concepts, math, and writing.
• Proficient with Excel, OST, and familiar with Accubid and Building Connected.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-bid and bid strategy meetings and presentations.
• Prepare, review, coordinate and execute complex proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing in CSI formats.
• Review cost histories and prior contracts to inform estimates.
• Manage bid compilation and support operations with estimates for change orders.
• Adopt new technology and estimating software as deployed by the company.
